No problem at all I really want to promote activity in this game. Getting new people really starts with whoever we have left playing too so it's a bonus for everyone! Thanks for trying to make yourself available!

KoC 2014 match 1: OwZ vs. Str8

Okay, so we had some problems getting a meeting. OwZ's had been spotted in the servers the past days - virulently training their skills. While they were getting better and better we had no luck on first dates. And no way of communicating! So basically fate had to decide when this clash of titans (erhhm) would proceed.

On this good night, February 24, OwZ had a server up, three man strong, and Midnight waiting for a Str8 to show up. That would be Herr Flick.

We decided 2 vs 2 would do the trick nicely. So we started our first set ...

Set 1: Str8 pick.

Classic 100 lt / Fossil Facility; 10 lives

Midnight & Herr Flick vs. Gaston & Wander

A thrilling game that will be remembered most by humiliating 7 suicides by Midnight.
Yes, 7 suicides, I will stress this one more time.

We fought well, but OwZ fought better! Amazing teamworks and we all took our good time - like some nature show on Discovery channel where alligators patiently wait for the zebra to take the bait and then CLASH!

(Don't know which of the two parties would be the zebras in this context.)

Anyway, OwZ won, and here's the score:

Set 2: OwZ pick

So, OwZ had the advantage until this point. But things were about to get messy.
Because Thug connected!

Classic 100 lt / LFR; 10 lives

A thrilling 3v3 ensued with, again, very tense battles, great teamwork, some suicides by Midnight (although this time, they were more like kamikazees where he managed to take an OwZ with him to death).

The sexyness of Str8 was too much for OwZ to handle.

Here's the final score:

Set 3: Neutral

Classic 100 lt / LFR ; 10 lives

So the score was tied as of this moment. All the men tired from two devastating games, we had one more match to play that would decide the winner of today's match.

There were some excellent naps and some less excellent handgun spam kills. Both teams went pretty even throughout the beginning and the middle of the game, but in the end, Str8 took leadership. Very intense, hardcore Liero going on.

Haha, (D/D)/Games is a kind of pointless statistic. Getting 100 damage and 100 deaths each game, no matter if it's 1 or 235729035829058, you'd still have the same D/D score. So dividing by games just gives a kind of pointless score and that's why thug has such a high one.

The last two images, though, do take relativity into account.
I refer you to the column "Awesome Points Cumulative divided by players played".

I'll let Ahmed do his own math and I'll do mine, this is just for my own pleasure, when the tournament ends, Str8 can give out titles of its own. $:-\$

Hey guys.

Round 2 starts this week (today) and will go until the 15th of March.

I liked how Boom or someone else said we should divide damage/death then divide by 100 after to get cleaner numbers. Please round to 2. I noticed some of you have been calculating with your own ways please do it correctly

. I'm a little busy but if you could all post your current calculations or link me to them I can take a look to make sure it is right.

I know Str8 and AoG are doing it right. I think I noticed aC may have had weird numbers but I never looked into it further.

To BKS: Earliest I can play is next Sunday (Today-Friday I have either an exam or need to be studying for an exam, and Saturday is my birthday and I will not be sitting on a computer that day

). If you can find other AoG guys wanting to play go for it though

Hi Ahmed, deadline is march 15. Can I assume, with respect to busy schedules, that if a match is played on the Sunday of the weekend after the next weekend, that's the 16th, that this violates the deadline in an acceptable manner?

If you played on the Sunday I'd look down upon it but wouldn't penalize you. If you played after that then sure. The point isn't about just winning, it's about giving people a resin to play. I understand schedules I am extremely busy but still 2 weeks should be sufficient usually.
