So, my friend just downloaded OLX and he couldnt launch it. He did use the shortcut in the right directory where all the data files are and so on..

But when he launched it, this message popped up: "sovelluksen kokoonpano on viallinen" in english, its something like: "Theres and error in the application's assembly"

Reinstalling/downloading will be done later, but not now, its 6:30 am ffs, im going to sleep. i just couldnt wait till tomorrow and wanted to make the new topic :p

BUT is there any solution to the problem, if the problem wont go away by reinstalling/-downloading?

Not really, i'd guess the error occurred when he downloaded the .zip packet and that's why it tells that message. (Or it could have occurred when unzipping it, pretty common i'd think) Try once again unzipping the openlierox game and launch it, if that doesn't help then just re-download.

If he gets more problems after re-downloading the game, then pop here a new message.

edit: Also which version of OLX? (0.59 b10 is buggy).

Well giving the full error code would help kemza

Normally when you get that kind of error code it informs what DLL file you're missing.

Try searching that .dll if that is missing and download it to OLX folder.

This should be solved by installing all Windows updates.

Alternatively, somewhere in the 0.58 release thread, there is a link somewhere to the specific Windows update.
