He is from Czech Republic, the world champions :D bah, poor calls by referee, he shouldn't favour Slovakia so much, but it's logical. I doubt we'll tie it but 2:1 is quite a success, I thought it will be like 6:1 before the match started. At least according to the roster and who is the host it's how it should be.

What are your predictions for tomorrow?

I think no surprises like today, Czech Republic will win over Latvia, probably 4:2 or 5:3, something like that. Finland vs Denmark is the least known match to me, but I believe Finland should have no problems with Denmark. Sweden should win vs Norway, but if some match will bring us a surprise tomorrow, I'd say it would be this match. Perhaps a tied result after regular time. USA vs Austria... Austria is capable of playing a tied game with USA but I don't think tomorrow that will be the case. A 2-3 goals victory for USA I believe. Besides, Austria is without Vanek. I've been watching Austrian players playing for entire season and their team is similar to Slovenian team.

I'd be interested into a review of this year's Finnish team.

I quess, though i only will bet 100 credits on two of these, i'll make them bold.
Games of tomorrow (and my predictions) :

Finland - Denmark 2-1
USA - Austria 2-2
Norway - Sweden 2-3
Czech Rep. - Latvia 2-1 (I have seriously no idea on this one)

Btw if you don't know the games see them   here

USA will probaly win against Austria but their team isn't so strong this year, so they may have some problem with Norway and will loose against Sweden. Finland will get a better start this year (lost 4-1 last year, also against Denmark) and hopefully Norway can put some preasure on Sweden.

Fin-Den   3-0 100 credits
USA-Aut  3-2   50
Nor-Swe 1-4   50
Cze-Lat  5-2   50

how should you really arrange this, it's unfair if i think norway will win 100-34 and they do!! I only get 50?

No bookmaker around on this forum?

Ok, I'll be the bookmaker then. I will take 0% in profit (: some kind of Parimutuel betting it will be wich allowing betting on same result (if someone else then me and Hawk will join this) and gives simple calculations. Betting is allowed untill 17.00 and 21.00 gmt+2 (a quarter before match start). If nobody is correct you can keep your credits.

            FIN-DEN       USA-AUT       NOR-SWE      CZE-LAT

edse     3-0 100        3-2  50         1-4 50           5-2 50
Hawk    2-1 100                           2-3 100
Ruki      4-2 100        4-1 50         1-3 100          4-2 50

Why would all be lost because of two players? Slovenia is missing Kopitar, Muršak and Urbas, and they played like never before in elite division. Kopitar and Muršak are NHL players, compared to other Slovenian players Kopitar could play alone in his own line.

Just saw in Austrian roster there is no Grabner either. Weird, I thought their NHL players will join them in the team... USA is built of NHL "reservists" again this year but they should beat Austria without any problem.

Relegation group will be: Slovenia, Austria, France and Latvia/Denmark, I believe.

As for the winner, I don't know this year. Haven't seen all the teams play yet. I'd say Canada will be high, also Slovakia will probably get into semifinals at least due to being a host, then there is Russia... Czech Republic can also stand in their way... Perhaps Finland? Sweden and USA are out of the question in my opinion. Yes, Germany can mess the system a bit as well, but they are not a golden medal material...

The most interesting player of the Finnish team is 19-year old Mikael Granlund. He is drafted by Minnesota Wild 2010 #9. Everyone says that he is new Saku Koivu. I've also seen four of his games here in Finland, and I have to say that he is amazing.

Especially when Finland plays power-play, follow this boy.

Finland : Denmark - 4:2
USA : Austria - 4:1
Norway : Sweden - 1:3
Czech Rep. : Latvia - 4:2
Any credits on those?

And even though Peltonen and Jutila aren't in the team we still have a lot of old superheroplayers in our team. And next year, in Finland, Saku Koivu? Teemu Selänne? will they return?

Finland has ok team on paper, but we lack the amount of goalscorers even more than usually.. My guess would be Finland is out after the first playoff round.
