Such things as that it's compatible with 0.56b, is simply incorrect.
Well, technically, this is still very correct. Also, you can interpret it in very many way:
* Compatible to LX56 levels: yes
* Comp. to LX56 mods: yes
* Comp. to LX56 config files: yes
* C. to LX56 themes/graphics: yes
* C. to LX56 network: yes (you can play on a LX56 server just fine)
This is called backward compatibility.
Of course, LX56 is in many of these points not forward compatible to OLX.
In general, if you say that some newer version of some app is compatible to some older version of it, you mean that the newer version is backward compatible to the old and that is true for OLX.

The merge with Gusanos is an noteworthy thing imo too.
But: Some Wikipedia admins removed everything about Gusanos earlier because Gusanos didn't seemed relevant enough for them to be mentioned in the Liero article.
Of course I had a different opinion but you need to have a good and serious source to proof that, otherwise they wont take it. And I didn't found any -- so Gusanos is removed from the article now.
---
OLX had an own page some time ago on Wikipedia (as well as many other Liero clones). But it was removed because too irrelevant and merged with the main Liero article instead.
Wikipedia admins are very strict about recreating an article which was deleted previously so I guess this would be too hard (OLX is just too irrelevant by WP definition).
OLX still has an own article in some of the non-English WPs. I think I have seen a Finish version of it.

There was a discussion about the Liero WP article already a while ago here on LXA. Too lazy to search for it though.
---
There is also some Wiki page in our own Wiki which has collected a bunch of sources about the history of Liero, LX and OLX. Most of them are already linked in the WP article, though.
Also a very good source about the whole Liero history (and most of its clones) is the original Liero wiki.
---
Also read the discussion on the WP article. That is a good place to maybe point out and discuss that Gusanos and other things really were important in the Liero history.
The WP admins will get very angry if you just start an edit war (i.e. you add something, some WP admin deletes it again and so forth); please avoid that.
