That was a decision made several months ago, I see you've been inactive since june, so that explains it.

There became more and more problems with combining old versions and new versions, and the gameplay suffered from it. People complained, and the developers couldn't do anything they wanted due to the backwards compatibility, so since 0.58 you have to have at least 0.58 to play in their servers. It's still possible to host with older versions though, the masterservers haven't changed.

Either upgrade, or host yourself, or find servers that let you in.

That's something I also dislike. I am all for ending backwards compatibility however the newer versions are very unstable for myself personally so I have to stay with Beta 1, 3 or .56 to actually play.. That being said I can't join newer host servers and it can be irritating at times.

The alleged unstability can be fixed, or could be if people reported bugs and described the unstability in detail instead of just whining. Your way is good too, at least it guarantees that this game will never develop to a state where it would be coherent and fair for everyone.

To use a somewhat widely accepted definition, you could look here, for instance. In that sense, I would say OLX is stable, and I will continue to believe thusly until someone presents a very good argument for the opposite. I have not yet seen one such argument in these countless debates about OLX, and I have no reason to believe anyone could ever come up with such an argument in the future.

I would also like to point out that I don't count general, undetailed whining or twisted definitions of words as strong argumentation.

Well, 0.58 rc3, is stable for me. Never crashes and I don't know any bugs and my fps is good (+150). 0.59 is just different thing... It suxs.

My example was based on a very concrete fact, whereas your example is indeed only about opinion. If you really want to get into that, you could start by defining the word 'rape'. My understanding of raping does not apply to OLX development in any way.

By the way, who has made a heavy metal version of the national anthem? You do mean Maamme (Our Country), right? I've only heard some metal version(s) of Finlandia and I quite like those, I even play it myself sometimes in a somewhat heavy way. =)

You were talking about a fact. That is about people's stupidity when they argue it's flat. But OLX being stable is not a fact it's different for every PC imo.
