Develipment of liero vechles

hi there. i have started making graphics for liero vechles and so far i have come up with about 3
 
grass hopper
 
drop ship
 
the spear
 
i just need a little help with the programing because i have no idea how to put them in. also if you have any ideas of cars of air crafts, you are wolcome to share your thoughs. plus try to make it simple to dont go ''32 germon panza'' or somthing like that. Just say tank.

Well, I am not a mod developer and I also have really much time (at least not enough time to teach you how to make mods). I hope some others can help you there.

Just want to say that this is at least possible in principle now (with 0.59).

oh crap. i forgot to menchon that i have lost my USB that had th graphics on them, but it was easy to make so i can probably make them again. so basiclly.....no :( . but do you have any ideas of what i can make while i am free.

One thing you could do, if you feel like it, is to create a level for liero  :)
You don't need to know any programming to do that, although it is possible to enchant levels with programming to add more features (for example veichles).

There are some different level formats available. Use the gusanos format. It is the best one.

Please be nice to people wanting to improve the game and do something good.

My experience is that when people read something on a forum they usually interpret the text as more mean and non-friendly than what the author meant. Perhaps this is related to that you can not see the facial expressions of the author.

Yeah vehicles are nice! I agree :)
In order to be successful in creating vehicles in liero you will have to work very tight with some community programmers (like albert or me) as creating vehicles will involve some tricky programming.

I would like to join you in this project but I do not have enough time right now. I am studying at a university. If you feel like it you could learn to program yourself there is info to get you started in the wiki.

Not sure how tricky it really is.

More exact, you need to learn how to script with Lua. You will find a detailed documentation about it in the Wiki.

And also look at some mods like Telek who already have something similar to vehicles. And maybe there are other Gusanos mods who really have them (anyone know about any?).

I'm also thinking about remote bomb when we talk about vehicles.

They are already possible now (thanks to Lua scripting). I wonder why noone has done that yet.

I have exactly the same rights as anyone else here to express my opinion as long as
it doesn't break forum rules.

It's sad that too few people can see where this game is going, or has gone already.
I don't say it's something bad, but it's something completely different than it was a few years ago.
And adding vehicles? Come on.. this is a Liero clone, not a Halo clone.
In my opinion all these coder's ambitions would fit better to Gusanos project and not LX.

The vehicles would be connected to a specific map or a specific mod. If you dislike vehicles and we create them; you are not forced to use them.
