Dunno if this should go here, but I'm having trouble compiling the Level Decompiler. I've installed wxWidgets, but I don't know what to do from there.

What is the error? But not sure if that source is even up-to-date.

I've got a problem.. My FPS is always 9-40 no matter what I do! Asiak had the same problem too. And this problem hasn't disappeared even though I've updated at least twice after this problem came up. I'm currently using the newest one, 4796 I think? You people update so fast I can't keep up with the revisions. xD Anyway, I've tried with OpenGL on and off and it didn't help. I also tried to change to modem and ISDN but those didn't help either. I also tried "check smth sanity" on and off and that didn't help either! I'm all out of ideas so please someone help. :(

Only graphics related options matter for FPS, nothing else.

Do you have that FPS while there are projectiles or also without? Or what exactly is your FPS if there is no other player (except yourself) and you just don't do anything?

Why do you have to? There's .EXE inside. Also there's MSVC 2008 project, but I doubt it will work in MSVC 2005.

What? I am not quite sure what the problem is here. Why did you right clicked on the textbox? Left click is normally what you are doing, then the textbox has the focus and you can type in the text in the keyboard. And then you click on "Update" or "Add Comment".

He means in OLX when the typing is not working. I was told that right-clicking in the textbox works (recovers the focus again) and I adviced that few posts up.
Good news, it appears that if I turn off OpenGL Rendering, I can type in fullscreen.

I don't know what projectiles are. :/ And when I'm alone and stay still, my FPS is still very low, about 21-25. I've already tried changing almost every setting there is in the Options menu and nothing has worked.

If you shoot a weapon, projectiles spawn out of it. Most of the CPU-time spent in physics simulation is spent in the projectile simulation. And we have changed a lot in this part since Beta8, so if somebody says he has bad FPS, I am always wondering if it is because of new physics or because of something else. But if you aren't doing anything in the game (and there is also no bot and no other player), it cannot be the physics engine, it must be something else.

Yep, there was only me, no bots or other players. I suppose you have no idea of what that "something else" could be? :/ Like I said, I already have tried changing almost every option in the options menu and that hasn't helped one bit so it can't be my settings that's causing it.

I have one idea: We removed some very dirty hacky code which cached the top+bottom graphics (the font and the current state and that stuff) because this didn't really worked anymore and will anyway become obsolete with new GUI code. This perhaps has an impact of 10-20 FPS.

There is no way to change this though, so you cannot do anything in options here.

But I am not sure if this is really the main problem here. You could perhaps try to run some profiler and send us the results.

Do you mean I need to copy & paste the whole output from Terminal when I write "OpenlieroX" there? I'm not quite sure what you mean. :/

I mean something like this:
http://www.daimi.au.dk/~sandmann/sysprof/

There are dozens of profilers out there.

Tried compiling recent SVN (4804 as of this writing) and got this:

If you use VC++ 2005, do a svn update. In VC++ 2008 click Project -> Add Existing File and find <OLX sources>\src\common\CGameObject.cpp.
