I've had this problem since the first time I installed the game. The releases of the several beta's (OLX) didn't bring a solution to my problem. I made a thread about it in the early days of this forum, but back then no one could answer what the cause was and how it could be solved. Nowadays, a few great game developers and programmers are active in the community, which is why I think that, with your help, I'm finally having a chance to get rid of this mysery.
The horror:
What actually happens is that each time I create a game, whether it is a local game or an internet game or even when I enter an autoserver (which places me first in the list of players that are going to play - normally the place where the host is), I can only shoot with the second weapon that I've chosen in the beginning.
It never occurs when I'm playing as a guest in a server, only when I'm the "host" of the game, or taking his place in the list in the lobby.
For example:
When I've chosen supershotgun, napalm, doomsday, cannon and chaingun (in that order), I'm only able to shoot with the napalm. Whenever I switch to another weapon (here for example cannon) and press the firing button, my weapon automatically switches back to the napalm.
I'm able to switch to another weapon: I can see that I have for example a cannon ready to shoot, but it's pressing the firing button that somehow causes the sudden switch.
Does it have anything to do with my computer itself? I've never heard someone talking about this issue.
Some useless information (I don't know too much about computers, leaving it all to the specialists): I'm using the following laptop:
Acer Inc.
Acersystem
Aspire 3023WLMi
Mobile AMD Sempron(tm)
Processor 3000+
Clockspeed: 792 MHz, 512 MbRAM
The system I'm using is Windows XP Home Edition, Version 2002, Service pack 2.
I'm using the old version of lierox (1.9 I think it is) but whatever version I try it on, it gives the same result.
I'm able to host online games since today, but it's not much fun when I'm only able to use one weapon out of the five that I had preset.
Would one of you perhaps be so kind to help me out? I had the intention to send this message to the famous handy-man: DarkCharlie, but maybe someone else might know the answer already. If something's not really clear or you need to have extra information to be capable of solving this horrifying issue, you can always contact me here in this thread, by pm or msn/e-mail:

My gratitude to my savior!
