Title: How to win a clanwar.
Post by: Magni on June 22, 2008, 09:58:56 pm
How to win a standard 2+vs2+ clanwar.

Step 1: Throw everything that has anything to do with so called lame styles, non combo stuff and other unwritten rules out the window. You're interested in winning nothing else. Use everything to your advantage.

Step 2: Communicate with your team, using your voice is usually the best way. But don't forget to insult your opponent now and then. Beating a furious opponent is usually easier, and he/she might even type something back which should give you a nice opportunity to kill him/her.

Step 3: Practise some weird settings, you could even design a own mod, to secure a easy win in your homeround.

Step 4: Play tactically, aka run and spam at your opponent, and attack when they are vulnerable. Try eliminating on player at the time to gain a. Having more players than the opponent gives you a nice big advantage.

Step 5: Remember to monitor the enemies ping.  You don't want a unfair game.
Remember there are only winners and losers!

Isn't it "5 steps to become disrespected"?

Oh wait, it was supposed to be funny. Ha Ha Ha.

Could you explain why it is neccesary to say this same shit in almost every post you and Benno make? I think we got the message already.
(Although i don't even think we need this message for anything at all)

Sure, thanks for the advice.

I'm talking about my own experiences now:

1) sure, throw the rules out, if they help.
2) If I see enemy swearing at me, it actually gives me a good boost usually, that the enemy is angry and I don't get angry over some "**** you" after some random folk's death, instead I get more inspired by it, to make him more angry and I try harder.
3) If there only would be such a culture to discuss CW settings before the start, I'm sure most of the players would not accept any own-made mod or even weird settings. Should do so.
4) Run and spam brings the win? Since when really, do you think that it actually brings you the win? In theory, it would help, if the enemy would be bad in hunting and you are good at running, and perhaps have some lag advantage, but I can tell you, that against most of the runners it is actually easier to play. Spammers are no problem as well, as I take "spam" as "random" shot, and it is usually easy to dodge, or if not, then it wont probably take too much health. We can argue here, but an in-game test out would work too, you run, I hunt.
5) If the enemy has 150 ping or bigger; what do you do then? Kick out and say you won? Is that the win of the CW? If so, just ask some randoms for CW and if they say no, then just put a 3-0 victory into your CWs list and say that the enemy chickened out and forfeited. That would probably be even easier.

Repetition, the essence of brainwashing.

Ye but the RIP-Book is only about the cool pictures so no one reads the text.

Just thank Magni for spreading the message without fancy stuff so everyone actually gets the message.
