C'mon guys, albert, DC, and pelya have done a lot for YOU, now do something for THEM! (give them a free trip to Switzerland!). Least you could do is get all your friends to vote (go to their house, vote from their computer or something?) :)

maybe have an automatic updater? so u can just put small updates and liero would download them so the players wouldnt have to worry about anything
i dunno doesnt seem much helpful but o well :p

Makes only sense for people with old and strange operating systems since all modern ones do that automatically for you. :)

I think it should be done for the 99 % of people that use obsolete operating systems  ;) Added that.

Thanks, but I think you clicked on wrong buttons. Non-programmers are supposed to click on the green arrows  :)

Just click on Don't implement and click on the green arrows instead.

I suppose you registered there as "holocaust". If not, then sorry for blaming you.

Sorry for a doublepost, but this is important:

CLICK ONLY ON THE GREEN ARROWS:

That's it. We really appreciate your efforts but if you click on Agree to implement, you don't help OLX at all. If such a thing happened to you, do the following:
1. Click on all the Don't implement buttons that you find on the page
2. Click on the green arrows

Wow, OLX is higher ranked than GIMP, Inkscape, Ubuntu and other famous programs :o

Anyway, clicked on all the green arrows I saw at OLX page.

What happened to our votes =o! We were at 693 last i checked and second :o.

Basically, they saw that we spammed like over 9000 features so that means we get votes more easily, because each user can +1 us more times. So now they only count the top 10 rated features.

How mean, just because we got the winner strategy :'(

EDIT: Some player in LX suggested to implement a friends list, where you can see who of your friends is online and where they play. I kinda doubt if this is possible, because it would need somekind of player accounts.
What about just implementing a player search funtion, like LXA has it? That should do it, too, in case the friends list isn't possible.

Hm, I would be careful to put something like user accounts into OLX. It's kind of annoying for somebody who just want to play a bit OLX when he see something about registering. This has to be made in a way that it is clear that the user accounts are only for additional features and not a requirement for playing online.

Player search list is possible. I also thought of generalizing this in a way that you can specify filters for the server list, for example only show Liero 1.33 games and such things. Atm., this means, that every server would have to be requested for the information. I don't know if this is a good idea. Imagine there are 1000 players checking the server list - for a server, that means, that it will get 1000 requests at the same time from other users only to request for their server information.

I think a better way to solve this is to extend the master server, that it keeps track of all these information. That would mean on the other side, that the filter does not apply on all old servers. Or the masterserver would have to make the request itself when the server registers it, but that is also not a nice way.

A bit less than 3 days left for voting.

We have the current state, if you count the points of the best ten features:

1. sK1: 858
2. TYPO3: 816
3. OLX: 512

4. The GIMP: 428
5. phpMyAdmin: 296
6. Inkscape: <267
...

Just to note, Gimp is collecting points very fast. They could still beat us.

So, anybody not voted yet, common! :)

It would actually be pretty good. Let's say LieroX would be LXAlliance-based. Everyone creates an user quickly, then they can pick three nicks let's say, or don't know how many. Then they all can change is tag in front of their name or so. :)

I don't think user accounts would be good in any way, because many people download and try out LieroX because it's often considered a 'small' game that you can just play for fun. I believe any form of registration would greatly decrease the number of new players, much more those that actually keep playing it for a while. I know for sure that I would never have tried the game out if I'd had to register somewhere. Well maybe with all the newer features OLX can't be called that 'small' anymore but there's really no reason to raise the threshold to try it out, at least not before it's in some kind of a more stable and finished form. Just my opinion but I know there are many people lazy as myself out there =)

Teeworlds has a search bar and you don't have to register to anything. Is there any way to implement something like what Teeworlds has?
